Cornus sanguinea - Common Dogwood - Bare Root

Dogwood (Cornus sanguinea) will produce a mixture of stunning, red/green stems during Autumn/Winter, adding a lovely burst of colour during the dull days. Cornus is perfect for coastal areas. It is a deciduous hedging plant with dark green leaves and small clusters of white flowers early summer followed by small white berries. All Dogwood varieties have similar features, which includes lovely creamy-white flowers in Spring and bright blue berries during Autumn. Cornus is a proven hedging plant and should be pruned each year (February) to maintain the quality of the plant.  Common Dogwood is great for coastal areas as they will tolerate those winds and salt spray.
