Characteristics:

Rhododendron Charmant is a tough, compact, hardy little Yakushimanum that has purple / pink funnel shaped flowers with frilly edges and a slightly paler centre.  The flowers seem to ‘glow’ with stunning colour.  Charmant is a compact evergreen shrub that bursts with colour late spring from carmine red buds.  Ultimate height and spread 1-1.5m in about 10-20 years.

Where to Plant:

Rhododendron Charmant is a busy shrub that should be planted in dappled shade, moist but well drained, acidic soil.  Like all rhododendrons, Polaris prefers sand, clay or loam type of soils.  Perfect for beds and borders, or containers.
