Characteristics

Raspberry Tulameen is a mid to late summer fruiting raspberry cane and one of the most popular for UK gardens and allotments.  It has outstanding fruit quality and crops well.  Tulameen is a Glen Prosen cross first bred in British Columbia.

Picking time for Tulameen starts from about mid-July and continues to mid-August.  Tulameen fruit is large about 4gms each , bright red with first-rate flavours and outstanding keeping qualities after picked. 

Tulameen canes can be tall but easy to manage.  It has good winter hardiness and can be late to appear in the spring.   This floricane raspberry bush will fruit on second year wood.

Where to Plant

Plant in full sun for best fruiting, south, west or east facing.  Tolerates most soil types but prefers loamy, sandy well drained, moist soil, pH neutral or acidic.  Ultimate height 1.5m – 2.5m.  Spread 0.1-0.5m in about 2-5 years.
