Description
Persicaria affinis commonly known as Polygonum affine Persicaria can be annuals, herbaceous or evergreen perennials. Darjeeling Red is a semi evergreen perennial forming a mat of large elliptic to lance shaped, dark green leaves to 15cm long, becoming red n autumn, with dense spikes of small flowers in open pink in summer becoming dark red when mature. Awarded RHS AGM (Award of Garden Merit). Height and spread – 0.3m x 0.5m after 5-10 years. Best for beds and borders, garden edging, ground cover, rock and alpine gardens – Low Maintenance and Hardy.

Plant full sun to partial shade moist, well draining soil types such as chalky, clay, loamy, Sandy, etc.
