Where to Plant
Merton is a good late season (August-September) cropping variety with large sized fruit, juicy and flavoursome. Self-Fertile needing no pollinator. Easy to manage. Best planted in full sun or partial shade, against a fence, wall or other supports. Soil should be well draining, moist. Merton thornless blackberry bushes will fruit on first year canes. Ultimate height 2.5m. Best planted 2m apart.
