Portuguese Laurel (Prunus lusitanica) is a popular, evergreen, hedge laurel. Portuguese Laurels are more show than its cousins, the Common and Cherry Laurel with white flowers in June make this a useful shrub for massing in shade, under trees and along drives Portuguese laurels are slower growing than the common laurel and have an unusual red stem colour. Ideal hedging plants, screening, privacy, windbreak. Easy to maintain.
