​Description

Laburnum vossii is one of the most spectacular ornamental trees planted in gardens big or small.  The main advantage of the Laburnum tree is its long yellow racemes of pea shaped flowers in spring and summer which give rise to its more common name - Golden Rain or Golden Chain.  Laburnum vossii is a hybrid raised in Holland and as such produces very few of the poisonous seeds that the common laburnum trees produce.  Laburnum watereri has been awarded the AGM (Award of Garden of Merit). 

Where to Plant

Plant full sun to dappled shade, well-draining soil. Laburnum trees do not like waterlogged areas or heavy soils.  Ultimate height and spread 5-10m x 0-5m 20 years.
