Common or English Holly (Ilex Aquifolium)
Holly or Ilex Aquifolium more commonly known as Common Holly are great evergreen shrubs for harsh climates. Common Holly is native to the UK and is one of the toughest evergreens used for hedging, shelter and screening. Holly has spiny leaves and due to dense growth are great anti-burglar barrier. Delicate small white flowers in spring followed by bright red or orange berries on pollinated female plants.
