Description

Horizon Monarch a new addition to the rhododendron family growing at ScotPlants Direct.  Brilliant evergreen shrub with loads of glossy green leaves.  Red flower buds opening to large pale, funnel shaped, yellow flowers with a small vivid flare.  The ball shaped truss holds up to 15 flowers. Horizon Monarch holds the Royal Horticultural Society Award of Garden Merit.  It is one of the most reliable rhododendron, with good resistance to pests and diseases. Ultimate height in 10 years 6ft. Bloom time May-June. 

Where to Plant

Plant full sun to dappled shade for best results, slightly acidic, well-draining soil.
