Green Beech 80/100cm Bare Root (Fagus sylvatica)
PRODUCT CODE: FS-BR-80/100
Fagus Sylvatica - Common Beech Hedge Plants
Beech is one of the UK's most popular hedging plants as it has the ability to retain its dead golden to copper leaves in the winter. Its bright green, oval shaped leaves are quick to grow about the first week in May to November, and turn orange – brown the rest of the year giving the hedge all year cover. Keeping the hedge cut below about 3m will encourage the leaf retention and provide that privacy year round cover.
Beech will begin to mature well after the buds’ bloom, that the root growth begins. Beech roots are usually thin when they first appear and later thicken and grow quickly. Best use for Beech as screening, windbreak, garden tree, country or farmland settings.
