Description
Rhododendron Elizabeth is an open multi-stemmed evergreen shrub with an upright spreading habit of growth. It is covered in stunning clusters of lightly scented red crimson trumpet-shaped flowers at the ends of its branches in mid spring contrasting against brown-green foliage. Elizabeth is great for general garden use as it will brighten up any dull area, perfect for mass planting or accent planting. Ultimate height and spread 2.5m x 2.5m in 40 years as Elizabeth is a very slow growing rhododendron.
Where to Plant
Plant full sun to partial shade, well drained moist soil for optimal growth. Rhodendrons require acidic soils to ensure success and will yellow if in alkaline soils. Water well during dry spells.
