Blueberry Duke is a heavy, consistent cropper with attractive, firm, light blue, savoury sweet quality berry. Duke blooms late but ripens early, which protects the blossoms from spring frosts. Branches may droop to the ground when laden with fruit. Duke blueberry plants will grow to 4-6ft, stocky upright growth with orange-yellow winter stem colour. Blueberry bushes should be planted full sun for best production.  

Where to Plant

Plant bushes about 4ft apart in well draining, moist, acidic soil (pH 4.5-5.0).  Best to use ericaceous compost to amend soil before planting blueberry bushes.  Water well first year for best plants.
