Description

Himalayas and is seen in the US and UK.  It has a long bloom period, consisting of crepe/ papery inflorescence showy flowers about 6-18inches with crimped petals blooming in the summer on upright branches.  Flowers are exciting pink.  Flowers appear on new wood.  Leaves may turn maroon colour in spring, dark green in autumn

Where to Plant

Plant full sun, moist but well drained soil, south / west facing.  Hardy but may need protection in hard frost.  Ideal for coastal, city areas, containers.  Ultimate height and spread 4.5m x 3.5m after 10-20 years
