Description

As a smaller evergreen cultivar of the species, it does particularly well in pots on a patio, though it can also be used as summer bedding around the likes of a taller, flamboyant clump of cannas.  It has several branches arising from a single trunk with long sword-shaped leaves – stunning in its appearance.  Ultimate height and spread 4m x 4m in 20-50 years. 

Where to Plant

Plant full sun to partial shade, south or west facing, in a little sheltered position.  Tolerates chalk, clay, sand or loam soil types, moist, well draining.
