Description
Silver Birch trees are a medium sized native deciduous tree commonly seen throughout the UK. They can be planted for windbreak, screening or specimen trees. Silver Birch trees are hardy and tolerant of a range of temperatures and soil types, especially wet and heavy soils. Silver Birch have light green broad ovate leaves with lobed edges and good autumn colour.
Where to Plant
Plant full sun to partial shade, well-draining soil. Birch trees are a fantastic haven for wildlife providing food for many as well as shelter.
