Green Beech or Fagus sylvatica is a very popular native hedging plant. An ideal choice for all year round colour as beech bears mid green glossy leaves from early Spring to Autumn turning to a coppery colour for the remainder of the Winter. Beech hedging is tolerant of most soil types including chalk but dislikes very heavy or wet soils. Plant 3 plants per metre in a single row or for a thicker hedge, plant 5 plants per metre in a double staggered row. These plants are supplied 40-60cm tall, 2L Pot Grown for year round planting.
