Escallonia Hedge Plants

Escallonia are mostly evergreen shrubs and native to South America. They are widely cultivated and commonly used as a hedging plant, especially coastal areas. Escallonia grow about 30cm per year and can reach an ultimate height of 10ft. They have beautiful arching branches with small, oval glossy green leaves that pull out the vibrant flower colours that will make gardens burst with colour. Flowering is from June to October with a strong show of pink or crimson flowers with a honey fragrance.
