Description
Gunnera maagellanica is a deciduous mat forming perennial with crinkle-edged, cupped kidney shaped, glossy dark green leaves about 6cm across. Ideal as ground cover in heavy damp soil, or in the mud at the edge of a pond. Ultimate height and spread 0.15m x 0.3m in about 5-10 years. Ideal for bog gardens, ground cover, rock and waterside gardens.
Where to Plant
Plant Gunnera in wet soil, preferably partial shade. Plant in full sun in areas with cool summers. Soil drainage - boggy damp conditions, moisture retentive soils.
Delivery Information
